And maybe have one of these stylish hammocks to hang out on outside on warm nights!

I've been craving a new tattoo lately. Particularly one in the style of the amazing artist, Amanda Wachob. Check out some of her gorgeous and unique designs.
I just can't pick a favorite!
There's also this cutie I randomly stumbled on...

And if you're not feeling like a commitment (or emptying your wallet) Tattly has the coolest temporary tattoos ever!
I think I have a new-found obsession with postcards. I bought a handful when I was in Denmark but never sent them because I wasn't there very long after. But I still intend to use them eventually! Quick and easy to write, but still so personal. This article on the New York Review blog (found via Yum & Yuk) really inspired me even more to get to them!
Plus, while doing some research for my thesis on my school library's website, I found that they have an extensive digital collection of Philadelphia postcards! How cool! A couple favorites:
They do show the front and back of most of them, but they must have all come from someone's private collection-for-the-sake-of-collection... because none of the ones I've seen have any messages written on the back. Because that would be even cooler.
Of course if you can't find time to write a postcard when you're not on vacations...try an adorable pouch from Rosie's Armoire

This is the perfect transition-to-fall dress from Modcloth!
These Circle Pots from Potted are super fun! Loving all the colors too!
Inspiring fabric from the Marin collection of Monaluna! And it's organic!
Pretty sure I need this owl tree embroidered purse from etsy seller cindymars7! I like the bright colors juxtaposed with the dark menswear-esque fabric.

I love the look of everything pieced together until it fits. When you can re-use what already exist, save it from the landfill, why buy something new that used a ton of resources and energy to make?
Even wonder what it's like to live in a catalog? I stumbled upon the hilarious website that gives you a glimpse into the lives of Gary and Elaine, the owners of said catalog homes (at the How About Orange blog). Welcome to Catalog Living. It's addicting. Below are some of my favorites:
"Gary, don’t forget to wipe your feet and leave your wet umbrella before walking into the brick wall."
"I’d prefer to have the candles inside the bags, but Gary keeps burning himself because he assumes lunch is inside them."
"It was just Buster’s luck: finally perfect the cup-on-the-head trick and no one’s there to witness it."
This is probably the best ice cube mold I've seen yet - Cold Fish from Presents of Mind.
I've been craving a colorful maxi-skirt lately. This lovely Painted Chaos skirt from Threadsence will do!
Surprisingly, I don't think I've put a book on this list before... but Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams At Home recipe book deserves that monumental first spot!
And of course no list of mine can be without a bird of some sort! West Elm's new owl table lamp has an adorable, almost human-esque face. Want!
Back to school tomorrow - about to get crazy over here! But hopefully on a more regular schedule... which means more posts? Fingers crossed!
Pretty "Feathered Finger" ring from Threadsence
I love the huge eyes of these owl cushions by artist Txlw
The colors in this summer food still life by Mini Empire make it almost surreal.
If my boy ever wore cuff links, I would want him to wear these Japanese Maple seed ones from Gurly Girl's etsy shop!
These tights, also from Threadsence, would be great for the beginning of fall's cool days!
This eco-friendly dress from Ruche inspires me to make a dress myself! I love the simple embroidery, too.
Love the fun filigree-esque feeling of this Bubble Energy ring from the Smiling Silver Smith.
I love almost everything about the Moonlight Bay dress from Threadsence (perhaps my new favorite shop - the prices are great too!)... except that I'd need a funky bra for the one-shoulder thing...
Hello again!
So my schedule these past few weeks has been crazy hectic - camping, working, trying to see friends, and keep up with cleaning. I know - there's no excuse for neglect!
But I've got a few posts in the works... and a bit of a surprise!
Anywho... my birthday was in the middle of July! Yay! It was a crappy day (looong day at work plus a fender bender...) But I came home to these gorgeous roses from my boyfriend and my day was instantly better! Love that man!
The beer growler from Victory Brewing Co. was the only thing I could find that was tall/wide enough for them. It's so old-fashioned and funky looking, that I kinda love the way the setup looks!
For my mom's birthday last weekend, she had the genius idea to spend the day thrift shopping and yard-saling! So I got some presents for myself too!
Salt and pepper shakers, green beer mugs, a parliment of owls, and a carved birdie dish that I actually found in a bin in my mom's basement that was full of stuff my grandmom is getting rid of for sake of down-sizing.
I also got an adorable birdhouse (complete with feather bird on perch) that needs some stabalizing, a pair of leather Eddie Bauer pumps (for a dollar!) and a couple leather belts!
It was a very good day indeed!
